What is Microneedling with PRP?

If you recall the concept of tattooing Microneedling is almost exactly the same principle in terms of delivering plasma components into the skin where they perform their magic. In tattooing needle is used to drive the dye into the skin. In Microneedling the same technique drives the plasma anti-aging content under the skin.

Microneedling alone stimulates collagen formation which is one of the major structural components of skin. The depth of needling is also important. The deeper the penetration the more response from skin and more collagen formation.

This concept of needling the skin has shown tremendous impact on quality of skin after several treatments.

There are variety of applications where Microneedling has improved the affected skin. From acne scars, stretch marks, damaged skin by sun, to simply aging, Microneedling has proven to be instrumental in significant improvement of the treated skin.

Microneedling is an office procedure that can be done with application of topical anesthetic cream. In our office, we also offer laughing gas or nitrous oxide as means of anti-anxiety and relaxation and more comfort during your treatment. For effective treatment and significant improvement and rejuvenation on the average 5 sessions is required. The sessions can be from a 2 week to 1 month apart.

The down time depending on the depth of the needling may be from few hours to a couple days.
